The location of this hotel is great, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are a little quaint (read: small). However, they are no smaller than anywhere else in this city for a 3 star. One oddity was that the wash basin is in the bedroom, not the bathroom. But this just added to the charm.
For those trying to find this hotel (it can be quite a challenge to find a building in venice when you're lugging luggage through the crowded streets), it is located to the north of St. Mark's Square, through an alley way roughly in the middle of the north side. Once in the alley way you immediately cross a canal. To your left is Hotel San Marco (Best Western). About 10 paces forward, the street turns 90 degrees to the left.
