the location is great and the hotel is always very clean, towels and toiletries regularly replaced. My only complaint is that reception staff always seem to be speaking with each other and doing work on the computer. They don't seem really interested in guests and giving newcomers, who might have had quite a long journey, a welcome and information they may need about your lovely city. Otherwise all is fine and we would come back again.
Best wishes,

The Venecia hotel could not be in a better location - right on the main square and just minutes from all the sights. Although my room was small, it was fine for one person and was lovely and clean. The bathroom was especially nice. The air conditioning was wonderful, and was so quiet that I left it on all night. Breakfasts were good - ham, cheese, bread, coffee etc, and the staff were very helpful. My only (minor) complaint was that the traffic noise in my room was quite audible, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! Most of the other rooms seemed to have shutters which may have drowned out the noise. However, I wouldn't let this put me off going back to the hotel again! Read Less

The location of the Hostal Venecia could not be beaten. It is in the Placa del Ayuntamiento, one of the main squares in the city. Our room had a small balcony from where we had a wonderful view of the square with its fountain, flower stalls and the amazingly beautiful Post Office (worth a look inside). Breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred to visit a local bar and have coffee and tostas with the locals. The staff were very helpful and the room was spotless. All for less than 60 euros a night! We stayed for 4 and would defintely return. Read Less

I was quite pleased with the place. Even though my room (104) was opposite the Italian Bar/Cafe there was little noise - at least nothing that disturbed me. It may have disturbed a lighter sleeper. I've given an average to the cleanliness as there was a rather strange smell in the room, but as I was only there for the night it was nothing that was a big concern. The location was excellent being right in the middle of Valencia. Read Less

A nice hotel bang slap in the middle of town. Lovely building. Excellent location. Staff helpful. Room a little compact but nevertheless perfectly adequate. My room had been used by a smoker at some time previously - it would be helpful to separate smoking and non-smoking rooms, or better still ban smoking in the hotel altogether. Highly recommended. The room we had was a little tired, could do with a little updating, however for the price and location was great. We were there for the Moto GP, the hotel was only a stones throw from the train station with a direct train to the circuit, it had a good bar below and was located close to many bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel can be easily reached by Metro from the airport, would use again. Read Less

outstanding location, probably the best spot in valencia ! Within easy walking distance of all major sightseeing, and just outside hotel/hostel is a very frequent bus to take you down to very impressive Americas's Cup port, which is free to access. Valencia is a very walkable city, and on seeing the many other 4/5 star hotels, I was extremely glad that I had chosen the Venecia, because the only difference between this beautiful 2 star hostel and the 4/5 star hotels would have been the expense. A nice hotel, with friendly, helpful staff. Some staff spoke better English than others. A clean, reasonable sized twin room with a small balcony with side view of the square. Initially we were given an "internal" room, very small and after unpacking we found the aircon didn't work. They then gave us another room twice the size, 1st floor overlooking the Ayuntamiento (main square) with a great view and very comfortable (why didn't we get this first??) main drawbacks are noise from the square all through the night, a boisterous cafe under the room and a foul drainpipe running through the bathroom so we get to hear everybodys toilets being flushed! However the value for money was great, the rooms clean and the beds super-comfortable - take your ear-plugs! Read Less
