Venice Marco Polo Airport
The Venice Marco Polo Airport is conveniently located just 12 km from the Venice city centre which is also accessible via the city’s unique water transport system. The airport is within easy reach of the Venice-Mestre motorway and those arriving in vehicles will find over 1,300 parking spaces at the airport including a multi storey car park with 805 spaces. Over 4 million passengers pass through Venice Marco Polo Airport’s 2 terminals each year accessing connections to destinations across the world. There is an airport information deskas well as a tourist information office (arrivals area) on the premises. The airport also provides business travelers with extensive facilities including a business centre which comes with conference halls, meeting rooms, individual workstations, audiovisual equipment, secretarial services and mobile phone hire.

The Venice Marco Polo Airport has Wi-Fi wireless internet connections spread across its terminals. The airport is also home to several shops and boutiques selling a diverse range of products. Those in search for a light meal or a quiet drink can head over to one of 4 cafes or stop by at the wine bar. Other facilities one will find at the Venice Marco Polo Airport include ATMs, a bank, a bureau de change, a left luggage office, a luggage wrapping service, a lost & found office, a post office, a first aid station and a prayer room.

Those wishing to explore the region at their own pace can hire a car from companies such as Avis, Europcar Italia, Hertz and Easy Car which all have counters at the Venice Marco Polo Airport. Apart from conventional taxis, passengers also have the option of taking Venice’s unique water taxis which depart from the airport itself to Venice, Murano and Lido. Alternatively there is also a bus service which departs from the airport to the Mestre-Venice railway station and to the Piazzale Roma in Venice. Those looking to travel in style have the option of hiring a helicopter shuttle service which is based at Venice Marco Polo Airport, providing speedy access to destinations such as Treviso, Padua, Vicenza and Lido.

Treviso Airport
The Treviso Airport is a small airport that is an alternative to Venice’s larger Marco Polo Airport and is used primarily for budget flights. Situated about 3 kilometres from the town centre of Treviso, the airport is about a 10 minute drive by car, and is near the by-pass SS53 on the trunk road SS 515 in the direction of Padova, while Venice itself is about 20 kilometres away. Airlines that use this airport include Ryanair, Carpatair, Eurofly and Eurojet Italia, and budget flights to and from London, Germany, Belgium and Spain are available.

To access the airport from Venice and the A4 motorway, travelers should take the A27, and exit at Treviso Sud, then take the SS-53 bypass and turn left onto the SS-515. The airport is after the traffic lights approximately 300 metres on the left, and the journey time is approximately 25 minutes.

The Treviso Airport has a snack bar and two bars located within it, but due to its focus on budget flights, does not have any business facilities available. In addition there are two car parks available, one with 119 spaces for short term parking (free for the first 30 minutes), and another 200 metres away with 800 spaces for long term parking.

Taxis are available form the airport, but tend to be expensive, a better option can be considered to be the shuttle buses which are available to Treviso and Venice and are usually scheduled to match the flight times. In addition a number of car rental firms such as Europcar, Maggiore and Hertz are available for those looking to hire their own vehicle.

For further information regarding the Treviso Airport one can call on 0039+0422.315111 to reach the airport operator, or on 0039+0422.315331 for the ticket desk.
