| Playa de la Arena on the west coast is a modern developing resort. The town of Los Gigantes is close by and the spectacular Teno Mountains can be seen very clearly from Playa de la Arena.Being one of the finest beaches in this region, Playa de la Arena has a natural black-sand. The gently sloping level and calm waters here is a more suitable beach for children. Playa de la Arena beach is situated centrally along the main coastal thoroughfare with relatively easy and free parking facilities. Playa de la Arena beach is surrounded by great choice of restaurants, bars and shops. However due to sudden shifting in currents do not swim when there`s a red flag flying on the beach. |
