Rome Independent Film Festival

The Rome Independent Film Festival or RIFF is Rome’s premier cinema event showcasing over 40 movies from more than 25 countries. The festival annually hosts an essentially young and international cinema which represents the next generation`s search for a connection between traditional ways and new language. The Rome Independent Film Festival demonstrates the independent cinema`s ability to renew itself in both form and content, making for a cultural event that is high on the agenda of anyone with a passion for innovative cinema. Held annually during February/March, the Rome Independent Film Festival will be held in Mid March in 2007

The Cinema Pasquino, Cinema Roma and the Rip Hotel are three of Rome’s most popular theatres and are honoured with hosting the Rome Independent Film Festival. Cinema Pasquino is located at Piazza Sant Egido which is in Rome’s Trastevere area and is easily accessible by bus.
