Children will love the antics and fun of Peter Rabbit (a classic rendition of the popular book series), performed at the UCF Shakespeare Festival. Presented by the Darden Theatre for Young Audiences the book was written by Rosemarie Gerould. Join immortalised Peter Rabbit and his friends as they explore new friendships, fun games and a whole host of playful antics that have enthralled children over the years.
Founded by Art Director Dr Stuart Omans the UCF Shakespeare Theatre is now over seventeen years old. Gaining popularity with a classic rendition of Shakespeare the theatre now has the backing of the University of Central Florida.
The UCF now boasts an impressive repertoire of professional actors, three theatres for the young audience, a workshop reading series, summer camps and community and professional classes. Celebrating its seventeenth season the UCF Shakespeare Festival proudly presents a ten day festival-The Harriett Lake Festival of New Plays and a professional line up of six quality productions per season. With over 103 productions of Shakespeare’s plays under its belt the UCF also is well known for its classic renditions of Robinson Crusoe, Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker, Poe, Deep into that Darkness Peering, Frankenstein, the Modern Prometheus, The Island of Dr. Moreau, A Christmas Carol in Five Parts, Trapezium, The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, and Around the World in 80 Days.
