The much loved Mister Rogers TV series comes to life at the Orlando Science Centre. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind treat. Mister Rogers’s neighbourhood is recreated in all its colours, with plenty of interactive programmes thrown in to keep young minds enthralled. Children will be able to enter the magical world of Mister Rogers where kids get to play dress up and perform in some hilarious puppet shows.
The 207,000 sq ft Orlando Science Centre now includes Natureworks a natural science exhibit while the physical science exhibit and Curiosity Corner are targeted at pre-school and primary age kids. Take your kids on an explorative ride through the human body or take a look around and participate in some experiments at the science labs. A definite learning process fro kids of all ages, the Orlando Science Centre skilfully opens the wonders of science to young minds through a host of fun and entertaining programmes organised this summer.
The Orlando Science Centre began in 1955 as the Central Florida Museum featuring artefacts in relation to Florida and the Caribbean Basin. It was in the 1970’s that the centre was changed to a science and technology centre and finally named the Orlando Science Centre in 1984. The focus of this centre is to provide a basis for experimenting, understanding and learning of science and technology.
A non profit organisation the centre is committed to public support, and boasts a wide repertoire of programmes such as, Places, Spaces & Faces, Films, Exhibits, and Programs, Hand Tiles, Adopt A Star / Adopt A Critter, FUN-Raising Events, Scholarships, Give Others the Chance To Learn, Create A Corporate Sponsorship, Help Us Save Money, Leave A Legacy, Plant-related classes, workshops and special events
