Walt Disney World Orlando

Introduction:
Apart from the sunny weather Orlando is renowned for its many theme parks, and spanning a massive 47 square miles is of course the wonderful World of Disney. The resort covers all areas of entertainment making Disney World a self contained holiday resort of its own. The four main theme parks consist of Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney MGM Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For those of you who love a wet and wild adventure check out the resorts water parks namely Disney Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.

Plenty of night entertainment is found along the boardwalk at the man made Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney West Side. The Downtown Disney Marketplace is ideal for picking up Disney memorabilia while the giant Virgin Megastore is a shopper’s paradise. Satisfy your taste buds at the myriad of restaurants and cafes at Pleasure Island or enjoy a night of fun at “Atlantic Dance” club.

The resorts comprises of many hotels from luxury spa packages to great family deals. You can choose to stay beside a theme park or enjoy the beauty of the water front. What’s more if you are guest at a Disney hotel or apartment make use of the free bus, monorail and ferry service provided within the resort.

Location:
Walt Disney World is located in Orlando within Central Florida. The main airport the Orlando International Airport is a 20 minutes drive from the resort while the smaller Sanford Airport is 40 minutes from the resort. Plenty of sunshine and great shopping venues are found in Orlando, the nearest being the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet famous for its stores of Gap, Reebok and Adidas. International Drive is very popular with tourists once again for its shops, restaurants, hotels and world famous theme parks. I-Drive features its own inexpensive trolley service. Getting around Orlando is convenient with taxis and shuttles services (to attractions) provided by most hotels.
