Typhoon Lagoon

Introduction:
Experience a water park like never before at Typhoon Lagoon Disney World Resort Orlando. Twisting tides, roaring rapids, silvery waterways and glistening tropical rivers promise a day of adventure for the whole family. The park consists of nine magnificent water slides and streams and the largest man made waves you have ever seen.

Some of the thrills include:
• Humunga Kowabunga - A mild but wild ride down Mount Mayday on 214 foot speed slides.
• Mayday Falls - An inner tube water slides that snakes down the mountain
• Castaway Creek - An exhilarating 2000 foot journey through the park on an inner tube. »
• Come on in - One of the world`s largest wave pools Ketchakiddee Creek- Specially for the kids this slide features fountains and a gentler flow

Of course the cuisine here is just as wild with Leaning Palms dishing out American favourites of hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, ice cream and frozen yoghurt while Typhoon Tilly’s offer hamburgers, hotdogs and the freshest salads together with a variety of flavours for ice cream.

Location:
Typhoon Lagoon is located within 47 square miles of the Disney World Resort in sunny Orlando. The main airport the Orlando International Airport is a 20 minutes drive from the resort while the smaller Sanford Airport is 40 minutes from the resort. Plenty of sunshine and great shopping venues are found in Orlando, the nearest being the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet famous for its stores of Gap, Reebok and Adidas. International Drive is very popular with tourists once again for its shops, restaurants, hotels and world famous theme parks. I-Drive features its own inexpensive trolley service.
