Ripley`s Believe It or Not |
 |
This park needs no introduction yet continues to amaze the thousands of visitors that throng its vast auditorium. The infamous Robert Ripley began the museum when his travels around the world unearthed the curios artefacts now housed in museums around the world. The Orlando branch known as The Ripleys Odditorium is a curiosity in itself as it seems to be sinking into one of Florida’s sink holes. At the entrance to the museum is a holographic projection of Ripley himself, you will be mesmerized by the collection of over 250 mind boggling exhibits spaced amongst 16 galleries. Check out the shrunken head, matchstick Rolls Royce and Self Portrait of Van Gogh re-done using 3000 postcards of Van Gogh paintings.
Location: Ripley Believe It or Not is located sunny Orlando on International Drive which is very popular with tourists for its shops, restaurants, hotels and world famous theme parks. I-Drive features its own inexpensive trolley service. The main airport is the Orlando International Airport which is a 20 minute drive from the resort while the smaller Sanford Airport is 40 minutes from the resort. Plenty of sunshine and great shopping venues are found in Orlando, the nearest being the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet famous for its stores of Gap, Reebok and Adidas. Getting around Orlando is convenient with taxis and shuttles services (to attractions) provided by most hotels
