Orlando Science Center |
 |
The Orlando Science Centre began in 1955 as the Central Florida Museum featuring artefacts in relation to Florida and the Caribbean Basin. It was in the 1970’s that the centre was changed to a science and technology centre and finally named the Orlando Science Centre in 1984. The focus of this centre is to provide a basis for experimenting, understanding and learning of science and technology.
The 207000 sq ft centre now includes Natureworks a natural science exhibit while the physical science exhibit and Curiosity Corner are targeted at pre-school and primary age kids.
A visit here will leave you awe of mans achievements over the centuries as well as wet your appetite to learn more about the wonders of science and technology. Dr Phillips Cinedome features the worlds largest largest Iwerks domed theatre and Digistar II planetarium with a blaring 28000 watts of digital sound.
