Handling over 30 million passengers annually the John F Kennedy Airport is New York`s busiest Airport hosting over 80 airlines to destinations both local and international. The Central Terminal Area has nine passenger terminals with a dual ring of peripheral taxiways.This airport is located 24 kms southeast of downtown Manhattan.For the ease of passengers, a colour coding system is used as a guidance for each terminal commencing from the entrance to the parking area.

There are about six car rental companies operating at JFK located near the entrance to the airport. Medical assistance is available 24 hrs a day whilst non prescription medication can be purchased at the pharmacy located in Terminal 4. As a value addition and for the convenience of travelers, Planemates or mobile lounges are used to transport passengers between arriving and departing flights.
All arrival terminals feature information booths which assist travelers regarding tourist information.Nearby attractions are Ellis Island, Empire State Building, Liberty Science Centre, South Street Seaport Museum, Statue of Liberty, The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Bronx Zoo, Central Park and several museums.
