About Prince of Wales Theatre London Formerly the site of the Prince Theatre, the current Prince of Wales Theatre came into being in 1937. Designed by Robert Cromie the theatre’s imposing seven storey tower makes it easy to find, while its elegant Art Deco style architecture seamlessly blends with contemporary interior design. The Prince of Wales Theatre is home to a spacious air conditioned auditorium which is spread across 2 levels, providing seating for up to 1,160 people.
