About Piccadilly Theatre London Tucked away on a quiet London Street a little way off from Piccadilly Circus stands the imposing Piccadilly Theatre. Designed by Bertie Crewe and Edward Stone and opened in 1928, the theatre boasts of a flamboyant Art Deco interior, an expansive auditorium spread across 3 floors, ornate furnishings and 4 licensed bars.
The Piccadilly Theatre which underwent recent renovations can now seat up to 1,232 people in air conditioned comfort. Apart from the opening “Blue Eyes” musical, other theatrical productions which found a home here include “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”, “A Streetcar Named Desire”, “Swan Lake”, “Jailhouse Rock”
