About Lyceum Theatre London Originally designed by Samuel Beazley in 1834, the majestic Lyceum Theatre has undergone many a change before its metamorphosis into the theatre it is today. The theatre still retains elements of its pre Victorian days such as its imposing portico, while its plush air conditioned auditorium can seat up to 2,082 people. Over the years the Lyceum Theatre has hosted performances by many famous cultural icons such as U2, The Who, Bob Marley and Culture Club along with a number of grand scale musicals including “Jesus Christ Superstar” and the ever popular “The Lion King”.
