Constructed on the site which was once a chalk quarry, the Bluewater shopping centre spans an impressive 154,000 square metres (1,600,000 square feet) and with shoppers’ convenience at heart has been designed to incorporate a triangular core which has 3 department stores at each corner (Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and the House of Fraser). Enclosed by glass sided dome roofs, the 3 sides of this triangular structure are named Guild Hall, Rose Gallery and Thames Walk and each have their own specialty stores and shops.
The over 27 million visitors who grace Bluewater each year also have access to more than 40 cafes and restaurants, a 13 screen multiplex cinema as well as a host of activities such as rock climbing, boating and cycling. Also on the premises is the Nestle All Stars Active Zone which is ideal for kids and the Molton Brown Day Spa which is a great spot for grown ups to unwind after a long day of shopping. Those arriving by vehicle can also make use of a 13,000 space car park facility.

Those looking to get to Bluewater from Central London should catch a train to the Greenhithe Railway Station and board the “Fastrack bus, service B” which will have you at the shopping centre in just 5 minutes time. One should remember to purchase a Greenhithe for Bluewater train ticket which also covers the fare for the shuttle bus service. |
