About the London Book Fair A three day book bonanza awaits those who visit the annual London Book Fair which has over 1,000 companies from over 40 countries around the world showcasing every kind of book imaginable. The event takes place in March and plays host to a wide cross section of publishers, foreign and local booksellers and library professionals. Over 15,000 book lovers visit the London Book Fair and with books ranging from fiction to nonfiction, children`s to academic and travel to foreign literature, it is not hard to see why. So if you are on the look out for books from your favourite author or are in the mood to try something new, stop by at the London Book Fair which is truly a book worm’s (the two legged kind!) paradise.
Location The London Book Fair is held at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Conference Centre in the picturesque Docklands area. This modern structure is located along the Royal Victoria Dock, just opposite the O2 Centre and its water frontage which boasts 90,000 square metres of exhibition space, various cafes and eateries. Those looking for easy access to the London Book Fair can make use of the London Underground’s Jubilee line which has a stop at the near by Canary Wharf and the connecting Docklands Light Railway service which stops right next to the ExCeL centre. Furthermore, the London City Airport is just a 5 minute taxi ride away. |
