Jazz on the Streets |
 |
About Jazz on the Streets For a brief period in July, the hustle and bustle of central London is overcome by sultry vocals, soothing saxophones and toe tapping trumpet music to titillate the senses. Known as Jazz on the Streets, this unique outdoor festival looks to bring Jazz performers to the people and showcases some of the leading acts of the British scene as well as several international performers. Free from the walls of the traditional club, this live, soul searching music is spontaneous and fresh, making Jazz on the Streets an event not to be missed for jazz lovers and all those looking to free their minds.
Location Jazz on the Streets takes place in several locations across central London including Trafalgar Square, Kingly Court (in Carnaby Street), Soho Square and at over 9 local Starbucks stores which give the public not only a chance to listen to the music, but meet the performers as well. While the best way to catch Jazz on the Streets is by foot, those looking for easy access to Trafalgar Square and Soho Square can get off at the Leicester Square or Charing Cross Underground Stations. |
