Archeological Museum
The old university building was the seat of the old self governing body of Ibiza, the Universidad which was established some time in the 12th century until it was abolished in 18th Century with the arrival of the Spanish troops. The museum is housed in the old Salvador chapel in the old university building andexhibits objects dating from pre-historical times covering a period of over three thousand years.The exhibition is divided into six sections namely, Prehistory, Phoenician Colonization, Punic era, Roman Imperial era, Lesser Roman Imperial era and the latter ancient era and lastly the medieval Arab era with exhibits collected from all over the island.The material is mainly from the Phoenician settlement of sa Caleta, the old city, Dalt Vila, the cemetery of Puig des Molins including various other sites.The museum also affords a view of the bay of Eivissa from the Santa Tecla bulwark which is a construction that forms a part of the fortified enclosure of the old city.The items on display include ancient coins, traditional glassware, drawings and photographs. Location
The Archeological museum is situated in the old part of the town namely Dalt Vila in the old university building in Cathedral Square since 1907. It was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The museum has the Cathedral located on one side.

Admission charges and nearby attractions
Admission fee is charged although free for minors. Attractions include the 14th Century cathedral next door and the old town walls built in the 16th Century to defend the city against attacks by the Turks which took around 40 years to build and encloses a very important historical site.
