The Costa Del Sol runs east to west from Nerja all the way to Gibralta, and has some of Europe`s most magnificent beaches including 13 blue flag beaches that are recognized for their high environmental, sanitary and safety standards. The sand varies from blonde to dark and fine to coarse-grained and there are even many coves depending on which part of the Costa del Sol you visit. The Costa Del Sol beaches offer something for everyone with fine tropical weather for sun lovers, an average of 18° C water temperatures for swimmers, plenty of jets skis and other water sports equipment for enthusiasts and even a number of officially designated naturist beaches away from the populated areas
Puerto Banus Beach, Puerto Banus
The Puerto Banus beach, located to the west of Puerto Banus, is the hot spot of the rich and famous and is definitely the place to go if you want to see and be seen. The beach has fine blonde sand typical of the Mediterranean area, and is a bustling tourist spot with plenty of water sports facilities and restaurants on offer. The beach itself is has a jetty and is surrounded by a pedestrian promenade. If you want a front line lounger it`s recommended that you arrive early as the beach draws in a huge crowd and the best spots go fast. If safety is your concern, never fear, first aid equipment is always at hand and vigilant life guards are on duty during the summer season.
