Located about one hour`s drive south of Barcelona, Universal Port Aventura is a theme park in Costa Dorada. Formerly known as Universal Mediterranea, Universal Port Aventura comprises the PortAventura theme park, the Costa Caribe water park, the Hotel El Paso, the Hotel PortAventura and a Beach Club. The theme park is divided into five themed areas named after exotic lands: Cataluna, Polynesia, China, Mexico and the Wild West. Each exotic land provides a dazzling and exciting display of themed rides, restaurants, bars, shops, attractions and live entertainment native to each land. Entertainment for the whole family, children will love meeting up with friends such as Woody Woodpecker, Popeye and the Pink Panther which will also give those young at heart another chance to get re-acquainted with their childhood friends!

Location / How to get there

Universal Port Aventura is located in Salou, Costa Dorada which is about one hour`s drive south of Barcelona. The nearest airport is in Reus with connections to the UK and Barcelona, which is fifteen minutes away from the theme park. By road, Salou can be accessed from the A7 motorway and for those travelling by train, the Port Aventura station is served by Barcelona. Another rail service, the Tortosa RENFE has connections with Barcelona, Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils, Ametlla de Mar, Amposta and Tortosa.
