Situated in Zermatt, which is at the foot of the Matterhorn, the Berghof is a family hotel that offers travellers a warm and friendly welcome. Zermatt is a car free village so the best way to get to it is by train since guests won`t be allowed to enter in their private car. However, travellers can if they wish drive up to Tasch in their private car and then take a train or taxi to travel the remaining 5km to get to Zermatt. For visitors arriving at major Swiss airports can fly Air Zermatt to reach the village. Within Zermatt the only transportation allowed are electric cars and buses, horse drawn sleighs and carriages and bicycles. Zermatt is geographically quite small so visitors can get around Zermatt on foot quite easily within twenty minutes at the most.
