Polwaththa Eco Lodge lets guests experience a relaxing holiday in a Kandyan forest garden as well as enjoy a taste of the wild. Situated about 18km from the Kandy town, the Polwaththa presents an eco tourism experience filled with amazing views and perfect year round climate.

The property is home to about 60 various species of birds of which 15 are endemic. There are monkeys, barking deer, giant squirrels and eagles along with nocturnal creatures such as wildboar, porcupine, flying squirrel, owls and bats. The cabanas and dormitory were made with material found on the land. Some are made from mud, one from wood and the other with bricks. All have thatched coconut leaves as roofs. There is a communal dining room or if guests prefer they can eat in their own cabanas.

The cabanas come with tea and coffee making facilities and hot water, heated using firewood of fallen branches. There is an open shower and as the temperature in the area is cool there is no air conditioning. Clean towels, sheets and blankets complete the list. Each cabana has a spacious balcony.
