Inside The Hotel...

This charming hotel with its traditional grandeur is named for the king who commissioned its construction in 1928. Hotel Alfonso XIII was originally built to house heads of state and high-ranking guests of the 1929 Great Ibero-American Exhibition. A Mudejar revival palace, the property encircles an enormous central patio, and is a showcase of marble floors, wood-paneled ceilings, Moorish lamps, ceramic hand-painted tiles and antique furnishings. Hotel Alfonso XIII offers an outdoor swimming pool (open in summer), a fitness center, two bars, and a hair salon.

Apart from serving a wide spread buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served (a la carte menu). Regional, national as well as international culinary delights are served at the San Fernando restaurant. You can also enjoy Japanese cuisine at the Kaede restaurant located in the hotel`s splendid gardens. In addition the building houses seven meeting rooms and a business center with computers, photocopier, and printer.

This hotel offers 147 stunningly decorated guestrooms with air conditioning and soundproofing. Accommodations feature Arabic, Castilian, or Baroque-style decor, including floor-length drapes, wooden ceilings and chandeliers, upholstered chairs, velvet sofas, carved wooden beds, and wardrobes. Arabic-style rooms have pale-green color schemes and carved cornices.

The Castilian-style guestrooms have dusky-pink or green color schemes while the Baroque-style guestrooms have yellow, red, green or blue color schemes and wooden ceilings. All include a private bathroom (tub/shower combinations) decorated in white-and-gold patterned tiles. Other amenities available include safes, minibars, and high-speed internet access (surcharge). The Royal Suite (200 sq.m) includes a large living room, dining area, parlour, 2 bathrooms and the master bedroom.
