Hotel about a mile from historic city centre (short taxi ride, about 5 Euros in May 08) easily walkable. Air conditioned apartment very spacious with bedroom, bathroom and lounge. Well equipped kitchen, an alcove off living room. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful with plenty of local information. Buffet breakfast good quality with plenty of choice. Only negative was machine coffee not good. Plenty of bars and small restaurants in the immediate area serving at all hours. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good base for sightseeing. Oh, if you have a car make it a small one. Entrance to hotel's underground car park is off a narrow street and is difficult to manoevre into. Had a Ford Focus and only just made it.

The apartment was basic but good value and very clean. I was disappointed there was no hairdryer and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. We would have liked to have left our luggage somewhere at the hotel on the day we were leaving as we had a late flight - unfortunately the hotel were unable to offer this facility. A little bit out of the centre but not a problem if you are fit and well.
