No significant complaints about this hotel -- the room was a good size and clean, likewise the bathroom. I couldn't get the pay-per-view movies to work, but I wasn't particularly concerned about this and I didn't ask for help from the desk. i didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked very good (but I rarely eat in hotel restaurants because in Spain there is so much good food available elsewhere for less money).
The location is perfect. It's a stone's throw from the Cathedral (if you have a good throwing arm) and about 10 minute's walk from the Plaza de Toros (my main reason for being in Seville).
When I needed some shirts ironed quickly, the domestic staff were very obliging and rushed them through.
There is an attached bar which has a good range of drinks and snacks, and very pleasant lounge in the lobby for non-smokers.
It could be noisy at night, but that was the streets outside, not the hotel. That's what you get in Seville in April. If you want peace and quiet you really have to stay outside the town.
My only slight quibble? The staff on the front desk seemed to be somewhat, how should I put it... snooty. Not rude, just rather mute. I entered and exited the hotel several times a day and though I walked past the desk each time I was never met with a 'Hasta luego' or 'Buenas..." Hardly the end of the world, but unusual in Spain nonetheless.
I'd certainly stay there again. More >> |
