I've rated this hotel before and noted that I found the staff snooty. I now realise that they are not snooty at all, but just good, old-fashioned hotel staff who don't push themselves down people's throats. This is now my favourite hotel in Seville.

No significant complaints about this hotel -- the room was a good size and clean, likewise the bathroom. I couldn't get the pay-per-view movies to work, but I wasn't particularly concerned about this and I didn't ask for help from the desk. i didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked very good (but I rarely eat in hotel restaurants because in Spain there is so much good food available elsewhere for less money). The location is perfect. It's a stone's throw from the Cathedral (if you have a good throwing arm) and about 10 minute's walk from the Plaza de Toros (my main reason for being in Seville). When I needed some shirts ironed quickly, the domestic staff were very obliging and rushed them through. There is an attached bar which has a good range of drinks and snacks, and very pleasant lounge in the lobby for non-smokers. It could be noisy at night, but that was the streets outside, not the hotel. That's what you get in Seville in April. If you want peace and quiet you really have to stay outside the town. My only slight quibble? The staff on the front desk seemed to be somewhat, how should I put it... snooty. Not rude, just rather mute. I entered and exited the hotel several times a day and though I walked past the desk each time I was never met with a 'Hasta luego' or 'Buenas..." Hardly the end of the world, but unusual in Spain nonetheless. I'd certainly stay there again.

Stayed here for four nights in mid-March. Excellent location in the city centre on an attractive pedestrianised plaza only about five minutes walk in one direction from the Cathedral/Giralda and even less in the other direction to a great area for tapas bars and some of the main shopping streets. Hotel is fresh and elegant, pleasant and efficient reception/concierge staff and great buffet breakfasts! Only criticism was that the air-conditioning in the room was ineffective and so we had to keep the window open at night to let in some cool air - along with all the noise from the bar in the adjacent street. Perhaps our fault for not getting the hotel to sort out the air-con. All in all, a hotel to recommend - would definitely use it again.

We highly recommend the Ingleterra Hotel in Seville. My husband & I (thirty somethings) enjoyed a weekend break in January 07. The hotels location is right on the Plaza Nueva, right in the centre of Seville and is a stonesthrow away from the Cathedral. All other areas are within walking distance such as the riverside, bullring, shopping areas.........Adjacent to the Hotel is an irish bar that is very popular with the locals and serves amazing measures of spirits (slighlty pricey, but you only need 1). The hotel itself has the feel of a central London Hotel the rooms have been decorated to the highest standard and it definatley deserves its 4 star rating. We found the best way to get to the Hotel from the airport was via taxi approx 25-30 euros, the hotel booked us a fixed priced taxi to return to the airport 21 euros (the consierge even had our suitcases in the taxi ready & waiting for us) The hotel was excellent value for money .........................
