I can recomend the Michaelanglo hotel in Rome for a wonderful stay in this fantastic city. The room was a tiny bit small but very clean with everything needed. In Rome you wont be spending too much time in the hotel room! Very clean and the buffet breakfast certainly gave you a good start to the day sightseeing. The hotel is perfectly placed for St. Peter's and the Vatican Museums (Just at the back) The buses are also just along the main road and run quite frequently to most areas of the city. About a ten mins bus ride to the colosseum with plenty to see on the way! Would recomend buying a DK Rome pocket map and guide as this gives bus routes, tram, and underground to get around easily. Underground not so good as only two lines. (Too many ruins underground to put any in!!) You would miss so much by using it. Around every corner there is something new to see. Best way is to plan the day in the area you are going. Its a great city and make the most of the coffee and ice cream!! More >> |
