Latest Guest Reviews for Jonico - Italy Rating Date
I would advise any people (other than Italians) to never to stay in Hotel Jonico. The staff there seemed to hate people who couldn't speak Italian and made it very difficult for me and my partner to ask questions regarding transport etc. The staff at reception were extremely unapproachable and anytime we asked them for ice or tea they either said they did not have any or did so with reluctance. The "breakfast" in the morning was terrible, consisting of a few croissants and some mysterious red juice. Most of the food was eaten by mid-breakfast. Mainly this hotel is for Italian business people and does not like tourists. The local shop refused to serve us as no one spoke English. The Hotel itself is a very long and packed bus journey from Termini, and then you have to get the metro to any sights. The best things about the Hotel were the maids, who were very friendly and always tidied the room very well, and also the local Spanish/Italian ristorante called El Patio had great food and a very lovely English speaking waiter. I would advise any one booking a holiday in Rome to never stay at Hotel Jonico (or near Termini).
