We spent 5 nights at the Hotel Giorgi and were more than satisfied. Yes, it has its downsides, the horrid, ancient lift being one of them but overall we were very happy and would definitely stay there again. The location is excellent with the proximity to the Termini station and the bus station. The breakfast was very good and plentiful with our only complaint there being the usual Continental Europe one of not being able to get boiling water for tea! The staff were pleasant and generally helpful although there is room for improvement. On checking into the room we found it rather poorly lit. The main light was very dim, the lamp did not work and the bedside reading light built into the headboard on one side of the bed was flickering and dim. I told reception staff about this immediately but by the time we left, 5 days later, nothing had been done to fix either of the faulty lights.
Finally, I would recommend the restaurant situated at the end of Via Magenta, the Donatio. My husband, who is a chef himself is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever met and he enjoyed it so much, we went back again the next night so that's saying something! More >> |
