Previously a horse market, the Wenceslas Square located in Prague?s New Town is now a famous spot for public gatherings, celebrations, and even protest marches. The Square is named so in memory of St. Wenceslas, and a bronze statue of the saint on a horse is featured at the top of the Square. The area is easily accessible via 2 metro stations on line A. Visitors will find no difficulty in traveling around, as most historical sites are within walking distance of the Square.
