we were very disapointed in the hotel the location was good as it is right near Times square but as for the rooms, they were filthy and i believe we could have got a much better place for the price, also whilst we were there someone tried to kill themselves from the same building and someone was threatening to stab a man right outside our room in the middle of the night. not only that but half way through our stay we found pest traps all around our room. most of the rooms were tiny and dirty eventually on our move to the third room it got slightly better almost barable. MY STAY AT THIS HOTEL WAS DISTRESSING I WOULD NOT MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO ANYBODY TO STAY HERE. RATS WERE FOUND IN BOTH ROOMS WE STAYED IN, I HAD AN ITEM OF CLOTHING STOLEN FROM MY ROOM THAT MANAGEMENT WERE NOT PREPARED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT. I LEFT MY HOUSE KEYS IN MY ROOM ON DEPARTURE WHICH I EMAILED MANAGEMENT TO FORWARD ON, MY EMAIL WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED. I COULD GO ON BUT NEED I SAY MORE!!

if you want a nice comfy place to stay in new york do not go here.
if on the other hand you simply need a place to leave your bags then go ahead. i spent five nights here with my brother and only because we spent very very little time in the room i wouldve demanded my money back. we are both average height/build guys but one of us had to sit on the bed if the other needed to pass between beds to get to toilet. (which is rediculously small) our window view was a brick wall. we were on fourth floor with no elevator and the staff were very moany.
like i said only stay if you literally need a room to leave your gear! Read Less

This has been one of the worst stays I've ever had. There were shouting in the hall ways through the night, 2 of my 4 nights I did not have hot water, and one night, after my return from site seeing, a body was carried out by 2 medics. Not the place you want to stay. Read Less

I was looking for a low budget hotel in Manhattan. I dont expect any special hotel service for that except to be received and dispatched and have emergency cover, that part of the hotel was as expected. I knew the location and that was not a problem as long as the desk was covered. NO problem there. I have rated it as average for this reason.
I did expect a clean bed and a clean room. The bed linen was clean, I decided not to examine the bed clothes as I wanted to sleep after the journey. Had I examined them I suspect I might not have gone to bed. The room was horrible. The carpet was stained, worn and dirty - I would not walk on it. The room was unnecessarily dingey and dirty. The wallpaper worn and torn, fittings hanging off the wall. The stairs had broken tiles and was dirty. It was very much a slum hotel. The web site said it had been redecorated in recent years. It had not.
Pity, I thought I had found a good bargain that I could re-use and recommend to friends.
It will make booking on your site more difficult next time. Pity.

The hotel was ideally located. The rooms were clean and tidy, (maid service every day). The night receptionist was very friendly, in comparison to the grumpy old man who sat at the reception during the day. The rooms were very small, we had a double room and you couldn't swing a cat in it! Saying that the location mad up for everything! We were on the 4th floor (no lift!) this kept us fit! I would recommend it but if you unable to climb stairs I would recommend you ask for the 1st floor! Read Less
