Hotel itself was ok and rooms were basic but clean. However, the location and surroundings were not ideal for tourists. The surrounding areas were very run-down and derelict, and at times we found them to be very dangerous to walk on especially at night. Most of the times we took a taxi to Times Square and made our way around the city. We would reccommend hotel purely as a base to work around.

The room was facing outwards towards the police station and this caused disturbance night and day whenever one of the vehicles departed with lights and sirens blazing !!! Room on arrival smelt of smoke dispite being a non smoking room - took 4 days of having window open to get rid of smell If you are looking for budget accomodation in the centre of NYC - can't go far wrong with this place though.....

We were very pleased to be given a good sized room with two double beds. It also had a fridge. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. Our trip was for shopping and it was a pleasure to have enough space to store it in our room. It was very central and we would highly recommend the Travel Inn to anyone looking for a decent sized room in a very good location.

Glad we chose this hotel. After reading poor reviews on another central hotel, we changed. Friends staying at that certain other hotel were appalled at what they got, especially when they saw ours at the Travel Inn. Travel Inn was well worth the xtra money, and we would choose it again.
