Enjoyed my stay immensely. Sheila, on reception was most helpful. I am extremely grateful to her and please pass on my thanks to her. I did think that the lighting was quite poor. As a matter of fact, I had a small kettle with me and it seemed as if it took it forever to boil. It did not in any way spoil my break. Thanks again.

Hotel was in a great location. Rooms were badly in need of refurbishment. Bedding and towels were changed every day but some staff were more helpful than others. However we did not spend much time in the hotel as thre was so much to do and see in New York.

The one double room I stayed in was very small but it wasnt an issue as I was out most of the time. The room had a large TV which featured all the major news channels and tourist information channels. The hotel had WiFi (not free), although it was only available in the lobby. There was a small computer room which was great because on the last day I checked in to British Airways and printed off my boarding pass. The best part about staying at Hotel Pennsylvania is the location! Times Square is a 5 minute walk and so is Macys and the Empire State building. In all the hotel deserves a high 4 out of 5 stars! For photos and video of my trip to New York which was in November 2007 visit my blog: http://tollerton.blogspot.com

Just back from New York. There was 8 in our party we had 4 rooms in the pennsylvania. We were allocated the 3rd floor. It was like going back in time. The rooms were damp and the plaster falling of the walls. We asked to be moved and we were allocated the 5th floor. We had to pay extra to be upgraded. The rooms were smaller but not as damp. We later found out that the 3rd floor is where they put the down and outs of NYC. Would not use Roomsnet.com again as i feel we were miss lead with the accomodation. The receptionist told us that they book the very basic rooms in the hotel. At least if we had a choice of prices while booking we could choose for ourselves.

Hotel in excellent location, very central. Rooms basic, but clean. Take a room above the 10th floor if possible. 68% 12-Nov-2007

We chose the pennsylvania hotel, because some of our friends had stayed there before. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are a bit grubby, rooms are crying out for a coat of paint but the beds are very clean and comfey. Lots of white towels, every day. Staff very nice, there is a great bar with some very good music. I would go back again. Everything on the doorstep of the Pennsylvania.
