I stayed for 4 days and my opinion of the hotel was that of disappointment! THE ROOMS WERE SHABBY AND DATED !!!!! The clerk a the reception was less than helpful and ignorant. However as we were on a shopping holiday the location was perfect . Good area with with easy access to everywhere and close to 24 hour services! Also the resturuant ajoint to the hotel was expensive ! Overall I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN SIMPLY FOR LOCATION AND WE DIDN'T STAY IN THE HOTEL ITSELF FROM WHEN WE GOT UP TIL WE WENT TO BED

The hotel is at a good location but the rooms could do with a major revamp the room left a lot to be desired. A warning to visitors do not use the phone as the chareges are astronomical. I got chared 13.42 for a call that wasnt answered 3 calls made to a location in new jersey were charged at an international rate also. We werent told of this when registering. Always long queues at reception not enough staff here. Otherwise we enjoyed our trip and got to see all the great sights.

the hotel couldnt be more central if it tried, directly opposite madison square gardens and around the corner from macys/times square area. rooms were basic but cleaned daily with fresh towels daily, spent very little time in the room so location was key. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pennsylvania NY.

My husband and myself stayed at this hotel for two nights, to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The hotel reception was bright and spacious and the receptionist whilst unfriendly was efficient. On arrival at the room, No 1463 we were shocked and horrified. It was tiny! The bed barely big enough for two people. The paintwork was crumbling and ancient around the door frame (the door was new and had obviously been recently installed). The carpet was nylon cheap quality and ill fitting. The wall beside the bed had a multiple stain (possibly blood or some other disgusting stain). The radiator was like something from the last century and beside it there was a pile of dust and rubble from where some type of "work" had been carried out. We pulled back the covers to check on the bed linen and this indeed was spotless. We were horrified so I rang reception and explained how upset we were. At first I was told all the rooms in the hotel were of the same standard, decor and size and when I offered to pay for an upgrade I was told that we could indeed be upgraded to a modernised revamped room for one hundred dollars plus taxes per night, but the room would still be the same "shoe box" size. The loo was spotless but tiny. We declined to pay the upgrade to a room of equal size as it was space we wanted. We would not recommend this hotel for anything but location.
