We recently stayed at the Edison, the rooms were basic but clean if not a bit dingy. It is a very big hotel and our room was a reaonable size. The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is on Times Square and just by where the tour buses start. It is a good ase for those that want to explore NYC and not spend much time in the hotel More >> |

Fab location just a step out the door and your in Times Square. Hotel is fine nothing fancy, on arrival where put on the 16th floor in a room with a double bed as i was travelling with my friend it was to close for comfort so they moved us to another room with two singles very quickly. Its def not the Ritz but for the time we where there it suited us perfectly and would recommend it as for its location and value for money and i will stay there again without a doubt. More >> |

| facilities within the room would be enhanced by coffee / tea making equipment, and possibly a fridge with mini bar. Otherwise an enjoyable experience. |

| Rooms clean very basic small dark and gloomy. Depressing outlook from window. However, location for Times Square is super. Your right there in the Square. |

Very central, being just off Broadway at Times Square (which is really a triangle). Exceptionally busy and noisy streets all over NY but we were insulated from it in our hotel and sleeping was no problem. Why do the Yellow Cabs drive on their horns? Close to the subway so you can go uptown (north) or downtown (south) and 7 day ticket at $24 definitely worth it. Fast and safe. There is a diner off the lobby but we didn't use it as it looked dull, so we walked a few hundred yards west along the same street (47th) to a busy diner that made great cheap food. Service everywhere was good. If you just need a base, this hotel makes sense - not plush but perfectly adequate. First time we've been supplied with an iron and board in our room. Reported a loose bathroom door handle at reception and went upstairs. Their repairman arrived in minutes. There are other much more expensive hotels close by, but this one did the job. More >> |

Everything was fine until a member of the security knocked on the door of my daughters room 2 days into our 5 day stay to inform her the manager said she should of checked out. After my production of my internet booking form he said they made a mistake. She could of been thrown on the streets of New York if I had'nt produced the documentation! We had prepaid the rooms the previous month!
nOT EVEN A COMPLEMENTARY BOOTLE OF WINE WAS OFFERED,AND SHE WAS MARCHED DOWN TO THE LOBBY! More >> |

Great location, handy for Times Square. Very close to all Broadway theatres.
Several Metro stations within 5min walk (the easy way to get around the city!)
Room was small(ish) but we knew that before booking, so this was not a suproise/problem. Very helpful & courteous staff.
Would definately stay here again More >> |

Having read other reviews, I was getting a bit concerned about the hotel, but had nothing to worry about. The rooms did look a bit tired, but were a great size, and the location was spot on!! just round the corner from Times Square, and walkable to Central Park. Bearing in mind the price, I would definitely stay again. More >> |
