For the cost of accommodation this represented fantastic value for money. Ok it's not a five star hotel but all I wanted was a cheap safe and clean bed for the night in a good location. The CI gives you that. The experience will very much depend who you share your room with. I shared with 5 strangers, 4 of who were probably thought like me - just want a place to get my head down and get some quiet sleep. Unfortunately we had an idiot in our room who came in late at night turned the light on and generally was a pain. after the second night this was sorted. That's probably my only grip about the experience. I was in a 2 star hotel in Berlin about 4 weeks ago which was considerably more expensive and I can honestly say that the bed in the Chelsea was far more comfortable and the whole place wass cleaner. I will never go to New York again but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to book in the Chelsea again - just check out the prices of the hotels and it's a no brainer. More >> |
