First of all we were transfered to Astor on The Park. We knew about it before our holiday. Alltough some of the rooms were too small, it was value for the money we paid. We were satisfied with the service and enjoyed our holiday. Hope to use again your service. Thanks and Regards.

The description of this hotel on www.findnewyorkrooms.com is misleading. While the hotel and the services provided are of an adequate standard, the website fails to mention that the hotel is situated in one of the roughest neighbourhoods in Manhattan- Harlem. It is was very very intimidating and uncomfortable walking anywhere immediately outside the hotel (such as to the nearest subway a few blocks away). This was due to the fact on every street corner there were homeless people in door ways, drunks and drug addicts on street corners and goodness only knows what else. The hotel was adequate. What I was unhappy about was that the website failed to mention the hotel was situated in the ghetto. Having known this, I wouldn't have booked it simply because I did not feel safe. I hope this review paints a more accurate picture of the hotel's location. James, Shrewsbury

One thing you need to know about this hotel is that it is not near all the NY attractions, however there are subway stations nearby which is helpful. Our stay here was fine after an initial hiccup where the manager could not find info for both the rooms we had booked.

The area of the hotel was not really secure(harlem) and when we arrived our double bed room had been rent to somebody else and they gave us a room with 4 simple beds instead. In addition, the address of the hotel was not clear, 2 local taxi drivers could help us to get there because they did recognize that address.
