The room was adequate, the power shower amazing and the air conditioning a Godsend. We were surprised that breakfast was included in the price. The hotel was handy for shopping, the metro, the train station and the bus to the airport. The chinese restaurant down the road was really cheap and the food excellent. The staff were very helpful and the rooms cleaner than I've ever seen before in a hotel. It was excellent value for money. Tip - don't hire a car unless you have to . Driving is murder and the public transport so good. The scenery around Lake Lugano and Como is wonderful. The easiest way to see a lot is to get a slow ferry which visits all the little villages on Como. If you have difficulty climbing steep hills double check your accommodation by the lakes. Even if it is only a few streets up it can be killing.

The booking and check-in all were efficient and entirely satisfactory, as was the hotel location with it's close proximity to the airport bus link and the city centre transport system. The hotel room cleaning , linen exchange and towel replacement service was excellant. The down side lay with the room walls being thin and noise coming from other guests in adjacent rooms and corridors. Breakfasts didn't inspire an early rise and with no kettle in the room, the abundance of excellant local cafe's provided a great supporting role.
