This is an impressive dark red "colonial style" property which has smashing views over Mahon harbour. However, you really need to make sure you get one of the rooms at the front of the hotel. They upgraded us on the second day for no extra charge. Exceptional service.
Also this is not the easiest hotel to find if you are not familiar with the geography of Mahon. The address is "Avinguda de Fort de L'eau". However, there is no entrance on this street. You need to go to the entrance on Avenida Port de Mao. The hotel actually faces out onto Passeig Maritim. Anyway, the rooms are not particularly large but you can forgive everything when you open the balcony doors in the morning onto that harbour view. This is a very special hotel which is not expensive for it's type.
