The main reason we booked this hotel was because it supposedly had an indoor heated swimming pool, but were disappointed that it was heated only on one our visits to the pool!. The other times the water was tepid. Also the Sauna did not work at all, it also only just got warm, not hot enough sit in! We asked for a kettle at reception that we were willing to pay the hire charge of 10euros for a week, but they had none to give! Some parts of the hotel are a bit run down & requires re-furbishment, i.e the indoor pool & corridors. Read Less

We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere cheap. We didn't really care what the hotel was like as we were going over to a wedding for 2 days so we knew that we wouldn't be spending anytime in our hotel. That is why we chose this hotel and it is exactly what we wanted. Cheap. It is a very avaerage hotel where you have to rent anything you want like a tv, iron, kettle, radio etc. The rooms are average and the lifts are very old...we thought we were going to get stuck in them!! The pool is very nice though which is what I think sells this hotel. So basically, its an average hotel, I would only stay there if you are not going to be in the hotel except to sleep, for that reason alone it is perfect as it is cheap. Read Less

Beware, drilling starts at 07:30 a.m. in the morning. The Voranova is currently getting a major revamp and at times it feels like a construction site.
There is drilling noise & dust throughout the day so when I was there (May 19 to May 28) few people stayed around the pool.
Apart from the construction, there are few facilities (a pool table). Entertainment consisted of a man singing each night with his keyboard. There was nothing for children and the food was very limited. Not recommended at present. Read Less

The pool area could be lovely if it was kept clean, the food served at the pool bar was not very nice. We also found out on our 1st day at the hotel 6 lots of people had had their rooms broken into within the last week and everything stolen inlcuding clothes and shoes. One night when we got back our room key would not work and because the maintence man was an hour late for work we had to sit in reception for 2 hours waiting for him so he could replace the battery in the door swipe. We stayed for 5 nigths and not once were our sheets or towels changed. Overall we were not impressed with the hotel or the sevice and would not stay there again. Read Less

Arrived at the Voranova and my heart originally sank as it seemed to be full of gangs of lads and girls, however there were a lot of families at the complex and after chatting with a family who were checking out after 2 weeks I was reassured as the family informed me that the Voranova have Security on a t night who do not tolerate any messing whatsoever, in fact everyone is warned that any messing and they are out - I witnessed this first hand and they do not put up with any crap! The rooms are clean and spacious with Air-con and fresh towels every other day. This complex will suit most people but do be aware of the noise that can go on until about Midnight most nights - all in all a good stay though. Read Less

Hotel was worst I have ever stayed in. Corridors filthy (spotted condoms, sanitary items, food etc), only 1 visit from chambermaid in 4 days. Air con leaked floods of water through the ceiling making floor very slippy and was dangerous as poured onto fridge. Reported but not dealt with. Air con hardly made any difference. Patio door lock broken. Phone broken. Balcony furniture broken and filthy. Full of 18 year old drunks running about all night and playing music. Pool was noisy and full of drunks. Sunbeds nearly all broke and threadbare. Lifts ancient and didn't use as felt unsafe. Felt scared at night with all drunks running around banging on doors etc, esp as door wouldn't lock. Couldn't wait to check out. Horrible. Read Less

recently returned from a trip to palma nove the voranova accomodation. booked the holiday for a group of 12 lads to get together for a stag party. the accomodation was absolutely top draw couldnt believe it when we got there as the price we had paid was very cheap and alot of the lads joked that for that price we were going to turn up to a sun lounger in a shed. met alot of nice people there the staff were very friendly and we had no complaints what so ever girls behind poolside bar were great. overall i would recommed this place to any of my friends who wanted to spend time away. Unless of course peole were wanting a 5* hotel this place was excellent value for money would return again Read Less
