The Location... The traditionally built Hotel Formentor is situated adjacent to one of the most renowned beaches in the Mediterranean, with unparalleled panoramic views. Located amongst 1200 Hectares of pine groves, the sandy beach is only 300 meters from the hotel. The island`s capital Palma and the main airport Palma Mallorca (PMI) are situated at a distance of 70 kilometers. Nearby Attractions... The small harbour town of Puerto de Pollensa lies 10 km away and is an excellent destination for a day trip. The beautiful beach is located only 300 meters from the resort where guests can engage in a variety of water sports, sun-bathe and take a cooling dip in the sea. Inside The Hotel... This spacious and elegant hotel was built in 1929 and was renovated in 2002. Guests at the Formentor can enjoy a relaxing stroll in the breathtaking garden which is considered to be amongst the best in the region. The air-conditioned la carte restaurant serves delicious cuisine while highchairs for infants are also available on request. An extensive breakfast is served buffet-style at the spacious terrace which overlooks the bay and the hotel also hosts weekly barbeque`s. In the evenings one can relax at the piano bar whilst sampling freshly made cocktails. Other facilities available include a 24-hour reception desk, hotel safe, currency exchange counter, hairdressing salon, shops, cafe, lift, a theatre room, and a TV room.
