A modern resort on the east coast of the island, Calas de Mallorca has three sandy beaches that are called Cala Antena, Cala Domingos Petis and Cala Domingos Grans, the latter one being the biggest and carrying the European Flag of cleanliness. Widely recognized as one of the best in Majorca, the Sunday morning market in the nearby town of Felantrix is well worth a visit, where you can get some of the typical local pottery. The nearby town of Manacor is the home of the Majorca Pearl industry. Those willing to hop on a bike to explore the countryside may well consider the option of cycling to Felantrix, the port of Porto Colom, and perhaps even tackle the climb to the sanctuary of San Salvador above Felanitx.
