Playa de Muro, one of the most popular beaches of Majorca, is especially attractive to naturalists, with the S'Albufera Nature Reserve being part of the beach and one of the region's biggest attractions.
The reserve, which consists of wetland, marsh and dunes, is a vestige of the swamps that once covered the area. A vast array of bird life can be found in these swamps with an unbelievable 230 species living or just passing through it each year. You will also come across 29 species of fish, including eel and mullet, plus reptiles, amphibians (mainly frogs) and mammals (mainly rodents) as well.
