this was the 3rd time we have visited this hotel,we found it hasgone down hill drematicaly.we were without a shower for the full week because whenever the room above had a shower it leaked dirty water into our bathroom and when we complained 3 times nothing was done about it.even the thompsons rep failed to have it fixed.the room was too small for 3 beds and a wheelchair even though we were told we would have a special needs room.reception just didnt want to know. we are going back in august this year but we wil not go near this hotel ever again and will not be recomending it to anybody. this was a spoilt holiday for the six adults two disabled children and one infant. Arrived at 12noon, receptionist said room was not ready until 1pm. we was told to put suitcases in the luggage room and wait for an hour, which we did, When we went back to reception at 1 o clock we was given a key. so we went to collect our suitcases but they had been burried right at the back of the room under everyones suitcases that was leaving that day, we asked for help from reception who just shrugged and said they would not help so i had to plough through the suitcases to retrieve our luggage (not impressed)when we eventually arrived at room we had been given a double bed despite paying extra for twin room (far too hot to share with my mate and the ceiling fan looked like it was going to fly off the ceiling) . went back to reception and asked to change rooms we was then told room would not be ready until 4pm. after a half hour debate over check in times and room availability with the receptionist (which was not specified when room was booked) i was given the key to a twin room (so the room was actually ready and available, however the receptionist was simply being awkward) unfortunatly the room was looking over garages but by this stage i didnt care. room however was kept clean by cleaners who changes bedding and towels daily and was very plesent. would never go back to this hotel!! the fiasco almost ruined our holiday More >> |

ROOMS WERE SPACIOUS AND WELL FURNISHED.FOOD WAS EXCELLANT AND STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.HOTEL WAS WELL LOCATED FOR RESTRAUNTS AND PUBS YOU COULD HAVE A LIVELY EVENING OUT OR GO FOR A QUIET RELAXING EVENING OUT ALL ON YOUR DOORSTEP.WE DID NOT HEAR ANY NOISE FROM THE PUBS AND CLUBS IN THE HOTEL VACINITY.A REALLY ENJOYABLE STAY WOULD NOT HESITATE TO STAY AGAIN. | whilst the hotel is very good value for money, the food was terrible, but because it was so cheap, we could eat out every night. Still a great place to stay in the middle of all the action, as long as you dont go in the restaurant. |
