we were actually relocated to the Barcelo Palmanova hotel the week before we were due to depart but it was no problem and we were perfectly happy with the accomodation we were allocated. I would definately stay there again. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean and tidy.

The Sotavento is an absolutely perfect place to stay for stag/hen do's full of people who dont mind the hotel being loud at nite and the language being a bit tasty round the pool :-> Cracking place, nice and clean, rooms standard enough and all the staff (except the scary maid) were really friendly and helpful. Cracking bar there and decent food with sky tv to catch the game before you go out on the town. Positioning is excellent for the main strip and the Hill, altho knackering, does become more of a laugh than anything :-> Would recommend the Sotavento for any hen or stag party would go again meself!!! Myself and 23 girlfriends went to Magaluf on a joint hen weekend. For what we needed/wanted The Sotavento was perfect! The bar/pool/restraunt area has just been referbished to a high standard and the rooms were clean and tidy. I have stayed in some really awful hotels on hen weekends and I expected this one to be similar because of the price but I can't think fault it. The hill is not as bad as people make out, its not untill you get right to the top that you start flagging. Not good for families as its very 'young'. Enjoy!

Just got back from a girls weekend - what an amazing time we had. Hotel is great for singles / young people having a good time - wouldn't advise families to stay! Very noisy at night - our neighbours were having a party at 4am... The hotel is clean and very impressive for the price!! - would consider going back .

I stay here at the beging of September 2006 and everyone went on about the HILL. Well............. Its not that bad and i would go bk to the hotel anyday. The staff were really nice and helpfull. The Room was really nice and had a mint view of the pool which was good and clean. Round the pool was great for meeting ppl. There is a supermarket rite nxt door to the hotel which is ideal n really well priced. Overall i would give this hotle 10/10 and that is even including the hill. As for the night life. your rite there just at the bottom of the hill which is two mins way. Great all round place....
