Basic room. Poor beds - foam block mattresses. Clean but tired. No air-con in any rooms with sea views (our sea view required sitting in the far left corner of the balcony).
The hotel is situated on a junction, and there was constant traffic noise as well as late-night burger and ice cream stands which draw crowds - great when promenading, but not when getting kids to bed. 24h machinery noise outside the bathroom window.
Staff were friendly enough but not out-of-their-way helpful. We were on half-board, but were told that the somewhat reduced (i.e. parlous) Daily Menu applied: we didn't discover until around day 6 that actually the restaurant staff would let us have a single course (e.g. a pizza) from the main menu (Euro 8-10) instead of the (Euro 12) 3-course Daily Menu. Even then they charged us for a dessert on the last day.
The hotel might be good for a few days if you can keep the room price right down and just do B&B, but food prices elsewhere are generally at UK levels, so it wouldn't work out that cheaply anyway. The beach area is pleasant enough - snorkelling for the kids was fun in the sea. Scuba Dive experience was fun, but Euro 70 pp for about 40 mins in the water seems expensive. More >> |
