I have stayed at this hotel several times before and the service is excellent. It was my first time at this hotel during the early Winter (end of November 2007). I was disappointed that there was no central heating during the night. The evenings and nights were cold. Apart from that the food was excellent as usual which was a pleasant surprise for me since not having paid so much for the All Inclusive Deal, I had expected the quality or even the variety to have been less than during the Summer and busy moths. Palma Nova and Magalluf are very quiet during the Winter these days but it is great for resting and there are the odd bars open depending on your taste. I am certainly out dancing every night until the early hours of the morning. However, the hotel itself has a very relaxing atmosphere and enough to keep you occupied without having to go wondering out. More >> |

On the whole we enjoyed our holiday. The hotel public areas were always clean and tidy and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
I was on holiday with my daughter (21) and her friend and we were put in a double room with a camp bed - this was not suitable and we were moved the folloiwing day to a larger room with proper beds. This was an improvement except that they forgot to tell us that we were directly at the side of the local church whose bell rang every hour!!! also we were over the top of the dining room so very early in the morning chairs were scraping as people went for breakfast, then the bell would ring..... so make sure you dont stay in room 209.
The dining room is very small and was inadequate when the hotel was busy -we ended up queuing for meals and the staff were surley and unhelpful. The actual meals were not too bad but not much choice, very repetative and not very healthy, there was very little choice and fruit and the sweet table was exactly the same every day. Snacks were always the same, chips, croquettes, burgers and sausage. The entertainment was quite poor, mostly audience participation and you had to been in lounge early if you wanted to be seated. We took our holiday in the first week in April and there was a lot of elderly spanish couples staying in the hotel, these people were very rude and pushy and refused to queue for anything, so be warned when booking at this time of year. After reading the reviews in other sites we were a little worried about what we had booked into. Totally unfounded as this hotel was superb. The food was varied and very well prepared. I would say that the complaints were from people wanting 'chip & peas' every day. The soups were obviously home made and delicious. The salads and veg dishes were extremely good.
The only complaints I could think of was that the beds were a bit hard for me - but then I have a 'mud bed'. The rooms were a bit short on the shower gels and shampoos. I would have thought a 4 star would have this. But h'ay I am looking for faults.
The staff, from the reception to the bar to the waiters were extremely courteous and efficient - dirty plates were wisked away. Evening entertainment was simple but good and friendly (not forgetting that this was the 18/25th Jan) and there were no kids running arround.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will be going back again More >> |

On arriving at the hotel and checking in, the receptionist informed us that the hotel had been overbooked and that we would be staying in the 3* palmanova hotel down the road. This was obviously extremely disapointing and after lengthy discussions we managed to stay in the palma nova palace. However as we discovered throughout our stay and from reading reviews on the hotel, this is a common occurence in the Palma nova palace hotel and happens on a daily basis.
The all inclusive hotel was good value for money but definately not 4* standard. What let it down were the quality of the rooms - uncomfortable bed and the repetitive food. However, due to the fantastic weather, location, company and all inclusive element, we had a wonderful holiday and due to the value would consider returning for a cheap, bargain break. More >> |
