Either I am not very ambitious or creative or I have found a small piece of paradise. I do believe I have found the latter.After using so many good hotels in the area this one tips the lot friendly staff ,good accommodation and very good food ,yes you will always get a runny egg in the morning no matter what time you arrive at breakfast.hotel set in the rocks on the beach no hard working required to the beach because you are on it and the beautiful idyllic town is a flat 4 min walk from the hotel the careless precinct .If you are looking for big yobbish crowds drunk and full of fish and chips this is not for you.There are many small coves close by to discover by foot or short journey to Cala Mondrego or even the nudist beach at Es Trench.If you are looking at a relaxing beach dominated Quiet holiday this is for you.Seek out those with too much money with there boats in the harbor close by. 14k to park them there per anum!!! << click here to read less

The Rocador is an excellent traditional Spanish Hotel in a beautiful setting, right on Cala Gran beach .The only critiscism that could be.... click here to readmore >> The Rocador is an excellent traditional Spanish Hotel in a beautiful setting, right on Cala Gran beach .The only critiscism that could be made was that the dining room was a litte hectic at breakfast and food ran out and was not replaced quickly ie bacon; eggs ,and chips ate evning meal - The food hoever was excellent and the staff very attentive. Good mix of nationalities . Sky TV news on the TV - No other English speaking channels. Also the Gym and Sauna were closed due to renovation . Excellent bar in the best location in Cala D0r ,overlooking the sea and beach,and witinin easy walking distance of the shops/bars - 2 mins. Be aware of car parkig outside the Hotel-All the places had blue lines ( free 18.00- 08.00 ) and every car parked after 08.00 with no paid ticket received a parking fine - Park free though on the roads onthe right hand side of the Rocador .The Hotel has no car park. The rooms were very nice and cleaned daily with new towels. the pools were always really clean. The beakfasts were also really well laid out with lots of varieties of foods. The location is marvellous right on the bay with a few steps down to the beach and only a few yards into town but heard no noise at all. The hotel is two joined together, the Rocador and Rocador Playa (the Playa I would say is the cheaper end and where we ended up - but was still very acceptable and clean - a long hike to the restaurant - but hey!). There was a lot of variety for breakfast and dinner but the cornflakes left a lot to be desired but still plenty of other choice. Two outside pools and gardens with plenty of shade and overlooking the bay. Would definitely stay again at a good 3* hotel << click here to read less
