A most unpleasant experience which I would not recommend to anyone. This hotel caters for German visitors with German speaking staff and I appreciate that this situation does not help when you are the only English person staying at the hotel but I do expect staff to be able to converse in either English or Spanish of which I speak both.
The hotel reception area is deceiving in it's facade which is clean and well decorated and while you book in extremely good English is spoken by receptionists, after that the pretence of not understanding the basics is kept up for the duration.
The hallways to rooms have badly stained carpeting and my room had flaking paintwork throughout. The aluminium french door would not shut and the bathroom was dirty and if you don't clean it yourself it just won't get done.
Clean sheets and towels seem to be a luxury more than an essential.An altogether filthy place!
The dining experience with unfriendly staff means if your not in at beginning of service, they start packing everything away after the first hour and will even turn the lights out on you.
The goose stepping dance around the pool in the evening was extremely offensive.
I had originally booked for three weeks into this hotel but after the first week I checked out and stayed at the Costa Azul in Palma which I would highly recommend to anyone who wants clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent food and an altogether relaxing experience with the same star grading as the Orleans Garden.
