We were a party of seven - 4 in their twenties and 3 around 60. As a widow I was in a single room, which was a tad on the small size, but the view from the balcony over the sea was beautiful, bit dated but clean, air conditioning was brilliant. You have to hire your kettle and fridge. Pool was clean but very cold. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Max and Ian in the Pub,and all the staff we had a great time. Food was average with a different meat on the carvery each night, found it a bit mundane although there was quite a good selection, so we ate out a few times. Found the restaurant very busy and at times a bit manic. The bay at Santa Ponsa is lovely, along with the park which is full of green parakeets, plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. More >> |

Nice hotel, very good value for money, staff friendly and efficient, but something missing, just couln't put our finger on what it was. Disappointed in some penny pinching measures, i.e. had to pay for water with evening meal, and no coffee/ tea facilities with evening meal. Food though was good, plentiful and hot. Pool area lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds too. More >> |

This hotel was pretty much as described on the website, nice pool, 2 mins walk from the beach and in the typical Spanish style. The rooms were clean and had all the facilities needed for a comfortable break. The rooms were cleaned every day but they did start a bit early. I think we got a knock at about 8am one morning! They don't have fridges in the rooms but these can be hired from reception. Safety deposit boxes were in the room and the key can be hired at reception for 2.5 euros a day which was pretty reasonable. We stayed on a half board basis. The breakfast choice was very good, lots of different cereals and fruits and fry up if you want it. We didn't bother with the evening meal though. We looked at it on our first night but anaemic roast beef and all the trimmings doesn't float our boats! The hotel caters to a predominantly British crowd and if you want a sun lounger be prepared to be up at the crack of dawn as they will have all gone by 8am! But why sit round a pool when the fab beach of Santa Ponsa is only a few minutes walk away? Entertainment was dire to say the least - bingo every night and dodgy "tribute" bands. All in all a good long weekend away but the whole resort was way to "fish and chip brigade" for us. More >> |

Hotel very clean with very helpfull and freindly staff. The hotel decor is a little dated now but makes up for it with great food and I consider it excellent value for money! Hotel located only 200 yards from the promenade and shops. The hotel comprised of about 80% older spanish couples and 20% british couples, there was not many famillies with young children when we stayed as there isnt any childs clubs or play parks in the hotel grounds but a small public park area is just across the road with a swing and slide,so may appeal to famillies with older children who can play on there own. Two swimming pools, one smaller indoor and a larger outdoor one. Tip, Make sure you get into the resturant before 8.00pm as it rapidly filled up with the spanish then and got quite busy! Food is based on the help yourself basis and offers quite a good varied selection each evening. Same applies in the bar area get in before 9.00pm as after this time it got quite full with the spanish guests taking up all the seats for there evening ritual of bingo! It must be a new phernominon for them as one game takes upto an hour and they take to it with great enthusiasim! Overall we had a great time and would certainly consider going again in the future1 More >> |

I am very impressed with all aspects of our stay.My friend and I were 2 of only 10 guests at the start of our stay as the hotel was transitioning from winter closure to preparation for the upcoming tourist season.Nevertheless, the rates represented extremely good value. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The restaurant staff did their best under what must have been difficult circumstances in catering for only 10 in a hotel that normally caters for over 1000 guests. The food continued to steadily improve during our 4 day stay as the number of guests significantly increased.
The hotel is perhaps not in a prime location in terms of sea views but it is nicely located in terms of access to the town, beach and surrounding amenities. The hotel itself borders on being luxurious and the rooms are spacious and clean More >> |
